ive had a tank for a while now, mainly plecto's fairly large and babys with several different kinds of cat fish, and i recently added a few snails to the mix.. i though they were funny so why not, now im in question will this endanger my other fish?, kinda like a goldfish would with its ammonia?

Snails don't do much to tank levels or anything. my apple snails usually eat dead plants and shrimp pellets. they only thing u need to worry about is that plecos are usually pretty violent when trying to open a snail. Once mine got big enough and noticed they could be food he gave up algae on teh walls and started slamming my snails up against the glass so hard it could be heard down the hallway. it became so bad i had to give him away, so be careful.

Well i have never had snails, but i have seen them in shops with fish, they look fine in their own little world. The way i would look at it is how slow snails move, they wouldnt be able to catch a fish. So should be ok.
