Astrea Snails

llo guys ! Yesterday i bought 2 astrea snails, i acclimated them over 2 hours, they worked and ate a lot of stuff, moving surprisingly fast somtimes. They looked ok. But today, i couldn't see them at all..i checked with mirrors and all, all around my 72 pds of LR and no trace. Are they hiding in my crushed coral substrate and is this a bad sign 'cause i was home all day and never saw a single shell ?

BTW i checked my powerheads and all...nothing jammed in it.

72lbs of live rock is a lot. 2 little astrea snails could be hiding in it. I bet they wil come out eventually.

just wait until you get some other types of crabs in there, i have a red mithrax type crab that i only see once or twice every couple weeks,

yah, things disapear and reapear like that...its instinct...they want shelter, being on an exposed face is not safe
