Atlantic Crayfish

I was thinking that i would like to maybe start a saltwater tank, not sure though just yet.

If I did however, would I be able to put in Atlantic crayfish? There is a saltwater stream near my home that has millions of these little guys in the spring ... could I catch them and put them in or would they die?

If you wanted to keep them, you'd probably need to do a coldwater tank and use a chiller. They'll most likely die at tropical temperatures or even a room temperature.

I wonder if I increased the temperature over time up to just room temp? Perhaps a little warmer every few days?

thats like saying...if i dec the temp for tropical fish and try to make them live like cold water fish...doesnt work that way
