I am totally new at this so this may seem painfully obvious but how do you glue down a coral frag? What type of glue? Do you have to attach to dry liverock? or is there a waterproof adhesive?

I've even seen someone using toothpicks during coral propogation, but then again, I wouldn't do that with every species... I think it was some zoanthids. But I bought a couple of coral pieces that were detached from a LFS for a good price, I used a gel on one and the others I kind of wedged into some places and lowered the flow a bit, those eventually took hold.

I'm having the problem where my little coral frag is attached to a little rock and my terrorist emerald crab keeps moving it and throwing it on the sand bed.................so I am needing to glue it somewhere.

So long story short - thanks for starting this thread because I was going to ask the same question :D Superglue gel, it is.

the little bity mushrooms and polyps i just got were attached to rock and a sheel as small as my thumb nail. not sure of it was surface area or what but supper glue gel did not work. my LFS suggested to use the rubber bands they used to seal the bags with and they'll move themselves as they grow. I rubber banded the shell the shrooms were attacked to and wedged the small rock the polyps were attached to into a crevice. must say has worked well. both have at least tripled in size over the last 2 weeks. if the glue fails for you, try the temporary rubber band option.

I tried superglue gel but had to glue underwater and it didn'twork very well. I ended up using the epoxy that you knead until it turns white....it cured underwater and after a few weeks the coraline grows over it and you can't see it....
