Auto feeder are great if you have hectic shedule like that doesn't allow you to spend too much time with your tank. I have an auto feeder in my SW (only tank) and it save a lots of time.
But the draw back is that it doesn't allow variety in the food you can put in the feeder. For example, I like to feed my fish and corals bits of shrimps evyer 3 or 4 times a week. The auto feeder doesn't accamodate this.
