Crush up the flake food until it is like a powder, then take a toothpick and dip the to into the water. Then, barely dip the wet end into the powdered food and then you feed the fry small amounts.
Hi, my fancy guppy, Madison, just gave birth and I need some advice on how to take care of the babies, my fish supplies are limited because I don't know a good fish shop in mumbai... please help! Thanks!
Make sure they have plenty of places to hide. Check the filter often in case they get sucked up into it. Keep the water clean (frequent, careful water changes). Guppies are pretty hardy. Most of mine survive without any special considerations. They are also very prolific (I had 40 guppies in 3 months, and those were the survivors. They Tend to give birth to a very high number of fry at a time). Good luck and keep us updated!

Thats great advice Kiara!!! I was just pointing out that you had the same GOOD advice as a reputable website!!! Good Job!!! Looks like you have done your homework on this subject.
Some of those fish can save the sperm from prior engagements to fertilize future births. I make no claim to knowing for sure what fish can, as I am no community expert. I am sure someone here knows.
Found the culprit!! Away she goes!! I don't want anymore fry and it was from my ugliest female. I'm raising the fry (don't have the heart to kill them) and I'm getting rid of them.
Madison only had six babies (I believe so...) 2 of them are missing can't find them anywhere but the other four are looking healthy... how do I get them out of the cage... isn't it hard to catch them? I'm not really a proffesional fish person so I don't have like all these things that you guys have basically all have is a filter, a tank, some plants and fish because my supplies are very limited... anybody happen to know a good fish shop in Mumbai? Anyway thanks so much for the advice the four that are still alive look happy! THANK YOU!
P.S. what is a nitrogen cycle?
Where do you live Kiara1125? Not trying to creep you out but I'm not sure if you can get the type of fry food you use in mumbai.. (haven't had any luck yet...) Thanks!
Keeks, I live in the USA. And don't worry about creeping me out lol. I don't know where mumbai is though....sounds like some sort of african country to me.
