Anybody have one of these superb looking backgrounds in their tank? Any Juwel owners in the UK in particular? I'd love to know how you got on with them and where you sourced it.

Lotus - the background on that member's tank is the Juwel Structured background which is widely available - I also have that on one tank. Back To Nature backgrounds are much more detailed.

ScubaSteve - which one do you have and in what size tank? Any drawbacks at all? How about the amount of space they take up and are there any water movement dead zones created behind it?

Sorry taffy - only just seen this post.........

You can get the back to nature backgrounds from the UK - and quite close to you as well.

The place is called Portons garden centre - and it's straight down the A303 from Andover, then left onto the A338 - look for a place called Porton - can't miss the signs to the centre once you're in Porton. The drive should take a little over 35 mins from Andover.

They have those backgrounds in stock - and several of them set up in display tanks, complete with fish. Prices start around £150 and go up.
Portons also have a lot of fish for sale - including a wide variety of cichlids - it's where I get my fish from. The guys are quite friendly and knowledgable, and the fish healthy (although under fed - and watch for ich for a while).

On the down side - they also do reptiles - and are complete arseholes in that department (in a lot of peoples opinion).

I'm in Whitchurch - rather limited for choices as far as LFS goes - so I was going to ask you two the same question - lol.

So far - the only place I visit is Portons (see the 8th post on this thread). They have so much stuff there I've not really looked around.

Ordered a 404 from www.aquatics-warehouse.co.uk (slowest site in the known world) - but that's about it.
