Yardsalewars is his ebay name:

I purchased some freshwater clams from this guy on ebay and he sent them the 3rd of July with no insulation and no cold pack. Of course they got cooked whilst sitting in a hot warehouse over the 4th of july holiday and arrived as a god-awful stenchy bunch of slop with a few shells wrapped in a wet napkin. When I pointed out the error in his ways, he said if I paid for shipping again he would send out some replacements on Saturday. Idiot didn't even realize this would cause the same problem with no delivery on Sundays and his lack of packaging them properly. I said it was his mistake I and I shouldn't have to pay for it. He said it's his policy not to refund shipping even if he makes a mistake. I decided it was best not to give this guy another penny, to eat the $11 I paid for them and just rip this guy in feedback. I sure hope he doesn't have any other pets, or god forbid any children. He's too stupid to be in charge of another life.

Glad you lived up to your ebay name.*SUPERSMIL

Did you ask questions beforehand? Usually you can tell alot from a well worded question as to how a seller works.

Hope everyone else who sees this guys feedback steers clear though. The guy before you wasn't that happy either.

I asked if I could get some of the lighter colored ones to contrast my substrate and he had good communications beforehand. I didn't get a shipping alert, or tracking number and figured he was like other sellers that know that they can't send live animals out late week, or on a holiday week, or wrapped in a wet napkin. I mean c'mon... how difficult is it to put them in a styrofoam cup with some styrofoam peanuts on top and seal it up before putting it in the box? The grand total cost of this high tech shipping setup would be what, $0.25 cents at most?

I reported this guy to ebay because I found out that ebay's shipping policy for live aquarium animals strictly states:

Under this policy, listings for tropical fish and snails are allowed as
long as the seller:
- Has the proper federal and state permits
- Guarantees in the listing that the animals will be packaged safely
- and shipped by next-day delivery

No idea if he has the permits, but he didn't package it safely nor ship it next day. BTW this guy wrote back and said he's having his lawyer contact me for harrassment because I gave him negative feedback, and reported him to ebay. I'm sure that's gonna happen, LOL.

I've only left 2 or 3 negative feedbacks before this and all of them were such scam artists and cheats that they're no longer registered users on ebay. Hoping this guy is the next to join that crew. None of these others involved live animals though, they were just pure scams. This is the first time I made a report before the guy was already booted.

Wouldn't hold my breath on that. I know over here Paypal won't pay the first £15 on claims so if you make one on a £20 purchase you'll get £5 back. I'm not sure if P&P comes into that either. It just plain sucks.
