Bala Shark losing colour

Hi,

I have just been watching my fish & just noticed that one of my 2 balas has lost some of the black colouring from the tips of the fins.

I don't know if the colour is coming or going as I have only just noticed it.

Out of the 2, this is the one that does most of the chasing, I don't know why or if this behavior has anything to do with the colour loss.

How big are they? Balas get huge and will outgrow your tank if they haven't already.

yeah, I know they will get too big for the tank in my sig, they are about 1.5" - 2" ish. it will be an excuse to get a bigger tank!!!

Not to worry you or anything, but when I had balas they lost their black color on their fins when they were sick and dying. Maybe you could take a look and see if there is anything unusual visible on them and get some medication.
Or it could just be nothing ...

Just tested the water, Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates 10ppm.

Any ideas?

Both Balas are behaving as normal.

Yeah, just fed them some freeze dried daphnia, they love that! lots of clicking as they eat!
