Bala Sharks and Other Sharks

Very peaceful , tend to bump sides with each other.Don't harm each other however.
Like to be in schools so they are less nervous but need nice big tanks.
I had 4(hardly a school) in a 55 gallon and they got too big. Water changes were nightmares as they dart into the side of the tank and on occasion up and out.

Bala sharks aren't actually sharks at all, they are a member Cyprinidae barb family (Balantiocheilius melanopterus) For that matter, neither are irridescent sharks, red tails sharks etc. I agree with MRB a school of balas would look really nice in a BIG tank - like a 90 or a 120. Balas grow to be roughly 10-12" with proper conditions.
