Barbs

I really like the look of barbs and I know Tiger Barbs are aggresive... are all barbs aggresive?

Barbs aren't that aggressive if kept properly. I'm a huge fan of Barbs and dedicated a majority of my tank to them. If you keep them in numbers of 5-6 or more (Tigers and Black Ruby's mostly) then you'll be fine. But try to keep any long finned fish such as Angels out of that tank.

Ya cherrys barbs are still really active but aren't at all agressive. Don't put any skiddish fish in w/ em though or the barbs will drive em' crazy. They freak gouramis out...at least in my experience, but they never nip or chase anyone. Very good fish.

i found the cherry barbs i had to be very agressive. they terrorised my tigers to the point where i had to remove them.

No in fact the tiger barb is probably the only one of the small barbs which are agressive.

Barbus schwanenfeldi(tinfoil barb) grows to 34cm long and it is not agressive at all although it will eat small tank mates due o its size
