Bata emergency

The last couple of days, my beta has been acting funny. His colour has gone dull and he is not as spunky as normal. This morning I noticed stuff on his fins! They look moldy and little pieces are missing?? Most of the time he just lies at the bottom and only comes up for air. I just change the water and filtters this morning to see if this will help.
Does anyone know what it could be??

I could be wrong, as I'm not too much into bettas, but it sounds like fin rot to me.

Try some jungle fungus eliminator, from what I've heard about it, it'll help.

jungle fungus eliminator works GREAT! it kills everything....except the betta of course*BOUNCINGS

He is sick. It may be a fungus or bacteria infection (or both). I would start off with Jungle Fungus Eliminator ASAP. That type of infection can kill a beta very quicky.

Walmart carries that brand, it looks like yellow crystals.

You can also add a tsp of marine salt per gallon of tank water to help him fight the infection.

Do a 50% water change BEFORE you add them meds, the follow the instructions on the bottle!

Good Luck, keep a close eye on him.
