bent fins

the tip on my angels anal fins are bent. it just started the past couple of days...
what could be the problem.
i haven't had a chance to do a water test yet, but i just did a 30ish% water change.
could it be dirty filter? i just change those too.

how big a tank if its too shourt the fins will grow bent is it cycled if it isent a 30 or more or is not cycled you chould bring it back to the store

I've found that particularly long angel fins might grow back bent if they were torn at one point or another, especially on the fins, that is bent sideways, not forward of backward. I don't think there's much you can do, but it doesn't seem to bother my angel much.

they are in a 50gal tank.
no they are not veil nor superveils
they're still quater size so i don't know why it would be damaged. they are bent back

hm. Is there any possibility that that's just the way the fins are supposed to be? Some angels have bent ventral fins. That's about the only thing I can think of.

Its not a genetic disorder... Its an environmental problem, bent fins normally develop when water quality deteriorates.

There are several angelfish specific forums, http://www.awforum.net/angelfish/ and http://www.simplyangelfish.com . You can do some research there as to causes and cures.

Could be damaged, could be an inbred genetic deformity. One of my angels has a bent dorsal that it transmits to it's young. I've seen it on rams and long dorsaled apisto. cacatuoides as well - every fish in a certain batch will show the problem

Since its developed recently - and not from birth. Then its doubtful that its a genetic problem...

Fishkeepa - got some numbers on your tank? NH3, NO2, NO3, PO4?
