I'm going to be setting up a pressurized CO2 system for my 55g in the very near future. I haven't been able to pick out a reactor/diffuser to diffuse the CO2 into the water, however.

I would prefer an external reactor, but I think that you need a canister filter for those, right? (I have an HOB.) Foes anyone have any reccommendations as to an effective and efficient reactor for a pressurized system? I'd rather not do DIY.

Thanks!

Yes, for an external reactor (also called an iniline reactor) you will need a canister filter.

There are a bunch of reactors available, and I'm not really sure if any one is better than another. This site has a few of the powerhead types: http://www.aquariumplants.com/cgi-b...s/op=eq/ml=25/tf=description.html?id=mxMuqgQH

IMO, the powerhead types are better than ladder/tulip type diffusers, as they really get the CO2 all over the tank.
