best freshwater fish in the world ?

hmm.. whats the best freshwater fish in the world ???

personally i ♥ angelfish and gouramis and bettas

what do you think ???

My votes rest on bettas and oto cats. I also like tiger barbs, though.

The ones I love the most, - Oscars. They are literally the smartest fish I have ever owned. They were easier to train than some dogs I have met.

Since i cant just pick one, i will list my favorites:

1. swordtails
2. largemouth bass (I keep saying its the hardiest thing ive ever seen)
3. bettas
4. goldfish

she is a purple colour with a dark blue outline , ill get a pic up tomo hopefully she has a double tail and i was told this is rare in a female lol

bass, they've become more addictive now that i can actually keep them alive, and have a little more knowledge on them than when i kept them when i was 13 years old

LOL! Newman, I hated bettas for the longest time. My parents got me one after my koi died and I kept in in a 2gal with two neon tetras. Two days after I got the fish, the betta had killed the tetras (ripped them apart, literally). So, I hated bettas. Now, I can't get enough of them.

Although i gotta tell ya I love having my shrimp (Red cherries + Ghost) They are awesome to watch in the sand and on Marimo Balls

I like shrimp too. they breed like crazy, so the tank is always full of life if you have shrimp in there lol.

Is the fish that makes you happy, the one who never gets sick, just swims around, in and out of the decorations youve so kindly provided for it. The one who if given the right care, and conditions, (and a willing mate) gives you tons of babies to trade in at your LFS for supplies, and food to feed it. Never throws dirty clothes on the floor that you have to pick up, or raids your fridge and eats all the strawberry ice cream. That is the Best freshwater fish in the world. *laughingc

sadly they can raid your wallet instead of the fridge (especially if you breed them) and you do have to pick up some waste in terms of vaccuuming and changin water after them lol.
but i do agreed with that post. nice way to put it.
