Hi all,

I am noticing some unsightly green algea around my tank and was wondering what fish are good at eating green algae? I have 3 otto's, but they spend most of their time eating the brown stuff. Are their other fish who are better for green algae?

Well, I have 2 Goldne Chinese Alagae eaters that eat just about every type of algae in my tank. They have even been eating the hair alage. The only thing with this type of fish is that they grow to be fairly large, and when they get to a certain size, they stop eating algae and go after the slime coating on your slow moving fish. These fish are fine when they're small, but watch out as they get older. I'm not really sure about any other good alage eater. Pleco's are algae eaters, but they get really lazy and end up as just dead weight.
