I have herd about a few products and techniques to rid ich. Including coppersafe, quick cure, raising temp...
I am currently useing quick cure in my med tank because it includes guppys, one yoyo loach, and a cory cat. I am concerned because I have been treating for more than a week and it only seems to get worse. It hasn't spread to other fish, but the fish the ich is on, it seems to be worsening. I know coppersafe is good but I also know that it will hurt my loach. So my question is, will just raising the temp to 84F kill off the ich, or is it nessasary to medicate to? P.S. I am also useing macracyn because my guppy has lost almost all of her fin, plus I have a couple of other "damaged" fish in there.

i used quick cure and it worked well but for tetras you use a smaller dose (1/2 the daily dose).. i dont know about loaches at all but D3sc3n7 has a good thread on ich in this forum. Do a quick search at the top of the page.

Jay...do you have to use a smaller dose of coppersafe with tetras? Oh yea your slackin last person that asked about this you linked them to your thread..lol

HAHA Fine Brian! Here is the link. I have not had any tetras in the tank, when I've used coppersafe. However, I did have barbs, and molly's, which can be around the same size as tetras. (other than something like neon's) I used the full does, and just waited a few weeks for it to work it magic.
