Anybody use one of these florescent energy saving light bulbs for their tank? One of the original incandescent bulb from my tank burnt out and I have a bunch of those energy saving ones laying around. Just wondering it would be ok to use those light bulbs (for a freshwater tank if that make any difference)? Thanks!

do the bulbs mentioned here fit a 3 gallon eclipse system?
whats the size of the hood? but i think a 9w fits. just to make sure check the bulb that was in there before. if its a G23 then it should be fine.

your in the saltwater fish section....

for a freshwater tank u can use any light. but if u have live plants then u need something less then about 6500k temp.

dont use incandesent bulbs or enerygy saving spiral bulbs for reefs....
