I would go with ones that have liquid droppers...the ones with test strips or powders haven't been as reliable in my opinion...but I think it comes down to what you like to use and what your budget is. I just have the one brand that all of the places carry (Petsmart, Walmart, LFS)...don't even remember what it is, but it seems to be giving reliable results and they are easy to use so I would reccomend them. I can look at the brand when I get home...or maybe someone else knows which ones I'm talking about.

Well unfortunately I think most of the kits are difficult to read when the readings get towards the high end of the "color chart" I usually end up guessing anyway. I suppose the most important part about them is to know when/if you have a problem so maybe reading the high end of the scale isnt as important as the low end right?

But I agree...I think on paper its harder to translate the color...and with the powder ones I think its easier to get inaccurate readings because you put in too much or not enough of the test material. To me 5 drops is easiest to measure :)
