best test kits?

Im goin out today to get a couple test kits. what are the 2 most important test kits that i need?
i know ammonia, but what else?

Im not sure about "2" most important but ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph for starters. O, yeah! KH and GH!

id get a full test kit, aquarium pharmaceuticals makes a cheap one that has everything but nitrate, its on sale at big als right now

I ask this cause i have enough money for about 2 test kits right now until payday and i just wanted to get advise on which ones!!

If you are just starting to cycle, ammonia and nitrite! If your tank is cycled, nitrate and ph! Those are the ones I would get until I can save more money!

thank you for your help, im not sure if im having a problem but id rather be safe than sorry, I guess the saying would go "learn the hard way or never learn"!!

P.S.- Will Stress coat leave a slimmy resin on the inside of the fish tank glass??
