Betta compatibility

I have a five gallon with three white clouds which used to be the home of my pretty little betta. I'd like to add my betta into the tank, but when I tried, the betta kept chasing the poor little fish till they hid in the corner, so I took the betta out. In the beginning, is this supposed to happen? Or is the betta thing just not going to work out?

I say is beacuse of space issues. I guess your betta recognized his territory

if he's not too aggressive, wait a day or two and see what happens ...
if he doesn't stop , i would suggest to put the betta somewhere else. Or get a bigger tank for all of them.

just try him in there again, but watch closely. A lot of times they just chase the other fish around as like they are 'claiming their territory', but if they start to get violent or nippy, then i would seperate them.

i agree that they should all be moved to a larger thank where there is enought space for all of them. remember, white clouds will reach 5 inches at adulthood, so they will eventually require a 20-gallon tank.
