ok, i have 5 bettas, and one of them named oliver, hasnt be seen eating in the 5 months we've had him. (we still drop in pellets, however) lately, ive noticed little pieces of tail on the bottom of the tank, and a little of his tail in almost chipped in a way. i suspect he is nipping at it. i have tried about 4 foods with him, 1 of them he actually bite it, but then spit it out. can any1 help. i really dont want to enthuisize him, and im looking to any suggestions that seem logical. thanks.

well if you've had him for 5 months and he's still alive then he's probably eating :) Have you tried any live food? it would help if you told us which foods you've tried so we dont suggest the same ones.

My betta eats Hikari betta gold...he seems to like it just fine :)

i feed all my other bettas bio gold (best food there is)

i have tried:

bio gold
wardley's betta food
tetramin tropical granules
and i think flakes in desperation :(
maybe even bloodworms, not sure, would have been a while back

P.S. all my other bettas have eaten the other foods besides flakes.

Crazy that he wont eat the good stuff. I would try live bloodworms, or hatch some brine shrimp for him. Maybe he just doesn't like people watching when he eats?? :D
