Betta Filter?

I have a 16G Bowfront aquarium without anything in it at the moment. I have a betta fish that would love a lesser current in the tank he is in right now and I would also like to display the 16G with him in it. I would like to know what filter would work best with him. I want to use an over-the-top filter- I just need to know a brand that would have a lesser current with it. Possibly the AquaClear? I was going to also add some neons and a flower shrimp.

IMO, I wouldn't bother with smaller than an AC30. If you're going smaller than that, you might as well just run a couple of sponge bubbler filters.

No an ac20 will suffice.

TBH Why not upgrade your ten gallon to the 16gal bowfront? Betta's do better in shallower tanks and your betta will enjoy a 10 gallon to himself plus maybe a few fish friends.

The sponge in an AC20 is barely the size of a deck of cards. I don't see the point in that unless it's a 5gal tank or smaller.

High flow stresses most bettas. Bettas come from rice paddies that have little to no flow. Only females and plakats should be kept in tanks with higher flow.
