Ok, yesterday I put my brothers bristlenose pleco and 2 dwarf frogs in with my Betta in the 10g (pleco and frogs very temporary, just while his tank cycles). Well today I woke up and looked in the tank and my bettas fins are completly torn and frayed, they have split nearly all the way up to his body. There is even bits of his fins on the gravel at the bottom:eek:.
So I put some melafix in to see if that helps.

Does anyone know what could happened to his fins? and what do I do to make him better?

Thanks

Melafix should help heal his fins.

I know when I had a betta and and ADF together, the ADF would mistake the betta's ventral fins for bloodworms, and try to eat them. Perhaps the ADF ripped the betta's tail. Either that, or the betta was scared by the new tankmates and bashed itself on plants/decorations or went too close to the filter intake.

He should be fine, but keep an eye on his interaction with the new tankmates.
