I have been using HBH Betta Bites to feed my Betta and he doesn't seem interested in them at all, barely acknowledges them.  He does enjoy the blood worms and brine shrimp, but I don't want to make them the staple of his diet.  Any suggestions?  Do bettas usually like the "betta food?"

some bettas won't eat pellets for anything,or they can't get it down their little throats.try a brand with smaller size pellets such as hikari micro pellets.if they still refuse staple food just feed them what they like but only every other day or two.my friend fed his nothing but fd bllodworms and his betta got BIG fat too, but still pretty healthy size for a betta cause i've never seen another one that big.

Try crushing the pellets. My betta won't eat food unless it's crushed, because it's to big and he barfs it up. Also, u might try tetramin tropical fish food or shrimp pellets.

Tetra makes a betta flake food called Bettamin, as well as small tropical granuals that are good for bettas.  My betta will eat flake and pellet interchangably, but sometimes a flake is better because it gets softer faster, and the betta can eat it easier.

My guys eat the Hikari micro pellets.  In fact one of them wont eat fd blood worms or flake food of any kind, but will frozen shrimps and worms.  The other one will eat some flakes, some fd worms, but wont touch frozen stuff.
I offer them different things - mixing it up a little so they don't get board.  Some folks squish up peas, or blanch fresh spinach and lettuce.  If you go that route make sure you remove the leftovers - they decompose quickly and will pollute the water.
