betta in 25 gal tank

Hey guys I was wondering can I put my 2 bettas in 25 gallon (divided) tank Thanks

As long as theres no possible way for them to get through the divide, then yes I don't see why not. How will you filter both sides?

I have one filter and the devider is in holes so I belive that is how I cycle the tank , I use to have a devided 10 gal with one filter and it worked perfectly Thanks for the advice

I second misterking, as long as they can't get through anywahere. Also, make sure they aren't stressed by seeing each other (I assume they are both male?). Some will get used to each other, but some will be stressed constantly by seeing the other and always feeling "on guard".

Yea, and instead of going into a lesson on the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, ill just say that staying alert all the time is bad for any living creature. there must be a balance between relaxed and alret states of mind.

Good point Newman, got to have a "rest/digest" to balance the "fight/flight" instincts. So yes, I'd make the divide completely opaque to make sure they aren't continually stressed by the other's presence.

Heck yea. make sure each are rated for 10 gal-15 gal. idk which would work best for bettas...a sponge filter or an aquaclear 20 HOB?

I have three males in a divided ten gallon tank (with no filtration at the moment...working on it!) and they do great. We had some flaring for the first week or so, but since then they've basically just ignored each other. I also have a big fake plant in each section, so they can "hide" if they need to.

yeah that'll work. they'll have lots of room, as misterking said, make sure they can't get at eachother!!
