I second misterking, as long as they can't get through anywahere. Also, make sure they aren't stressed by seeing each other (I assume they are both male?). Some will get used to each other, but some will be stressed constantly by seeing the other and always feeling "on guard".

Yea, and instead of going into a lesson on the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, ill just say that staying alert all the time is bad for any living creature. there must be a balance between relaxed and alret states of mind.

I have three males in a divided ten gallon tank (with no filtration at the moment...working on it!) and they do great. We had some flaring for the first week or so, but since then they've basically just ignored each other. I also have a big fake plant in each section, so they can "hide" if they need to.
