Betta in my tank???

Would i be able to put a betta in my 4 and a half foot, 63g tank with golden gouramis, 2 platys, 3 danios and 2 minnows?

you should be able to but you should be careful of your gourmais as they can nip the fins of your betta . Our gourmais are ok and dont nip our bettas fins so it could be ok.

the betta will probably try and go after the gourmais to but all it will do is flare its gills up at them.

I personally like males better but its up to you. In my opnion males are much more beautiful.

NO, Bettas will nip at everything in that tank. Bettas do not need in with other fish.

well my betta is fine in our community tank but ofcourse all fish are different and it may be better to take corydoras advice

why dont u get a nice male betta in ur empty 7g with some ottos or summit??

I would not mix a male betta with gourami. I have heard nothing but bad stories about gourami and betta's fighting. They are both top-level fish and both are teritorial and got good biting power, that just adds up to trouble and dead fish IMO.
