Betta is in bad shape. :(

I bought a betta from Walmart today and he's in pretty bad shape. He lays on the gravel motionless and occasionaly comes up for some air. I know this is what I deserve for buying fish from walmart, but he was a beautiful crowntail that I couldn't find anywhere else.

Anyways, is there anything I can do to help him recover? I'm really hoping he makes it and that I can nurse him back to health! *laughingc

as far as i know, time, and correct tank conditions are all you can do. But, yeah, it is naturally gonna be tired. No offense, but walmart way overstocks their fish. ( i realize bettas come in their own can) Its probably just stressed from the move

yeah he is most likely stressed, hes proabaly just getting used to the tank. how long have you had him? Give it a day or two, imagine yourself moving to a different home in an hour , all of sudden your in some place new, so yeah just give it time like big hit said

Give him time, clean water good food. He should come around. You can put in a correct small amount of aquarium salt, and Aquasol in case he has something he shouldn't as Walmart isn't a too good of a place to be a Betta.
