I have a male betta currently living in a 1 gallon tank at my workplace. The problem is the room is always so cold and the temp hasn’t able to reach even 75 F. The only heater I found is for at least 2 gallon. Also, I was told that 1 gallon tank is too small for a betta, so I’m thinking of buying a larger one. I found a few tanks in walmart: aquatank 2 gallon, mini bow 2.5 gallon, and eclipse hex 5 gallon. I like the hex 5 but I don’t really have room to put it. Does a 2 gallon or 2.5 gallon tank works ok for my betta? How often should I change the water?

Any suggestion on what are some plants (real/fake) or decorations (cave, rock)that the betta would prefer? I’ve read that if I get fake plant I should get the silk ones. How do I know if it’s silk? Does it say on the label?
