Betta Tank Mates

Im going to be upgrading to a 5 gall tank for my betta and i was wondering, wat tankmates would be suitable for it

Well you can probally put in a Platy(male).

In a 5g I think you could fit a cory cat or 2 and a gohst shrimp or African Dwarf Frog.

I agree with Zman. I wouldnt put any mid to top dwelling inhabitants. You want something that will stay out of the Bettas way.

or maybe even some neons?

I haven't had any luck putting my betta with any other fish, just fyi. My lfs said to put him with fish that are always moving, so I got some of those little headlight(?) tetras (red spots near eyes) and he ate their eyes out. It was pretty horrifying. I came to the tank one a.m., and they were all swimming in circles. One's eye was actually hanging out.

But I love my beta.

hmm im probly gonna get a cory cat, but my fish is a fatty and eats everything so we shall see
