Hi all,

I used bettafix last week to treat my betta and it worked great...within a couple of days he was happily swimming around and eating. The problem is it cost me an arm and a leg because I have him in a 15g...so i was using one of those 37ml bottles per day (i couldn't find the stuff in "bulk"). I guess those little bottles are meant for bettas in a 2.5 gallon tank. I know I could have got a 2.5 tank to treat...but then i would need a heater and all that...

So anyway, I was wondering if the melafix would be just as effective...if it was diluted as to not be as strong? (Is bettafix essentially melafix but not as strong?)

thanks

Yeah exactly. Bettafix is nothing more than diluted Melafix.

We've found that using an eye dropper to administer the Melafix helps us keep the amount small and safe for the labyrinth organ issue. Thus it's really not worth it to buy the Bettafix. You're basically paying for dilution.
