Bettas and Direct Sunlight???

I've always wondered this, but why shoulnt you put bettas in direct sunlight? (not like i want to but just wondering)

i think bettas would be boiled alive if you left them in the sun, mine catch a sun beam or two when the afternoon comes, but its nice and cool in my room, so i dont really worry about them getting sunburn

wat im guessing is that the sunlight is to bright and the fish might get blind? or maybe the sunlight makes the water a bit warmer

Your not really supposed to put any tank in direct sunlight. It produces heck lots of algae. Well thats what I have heard lol. Or maybe the glass magnifies the light and you have a nice fish treat.

More algea plus bettas are scared of bright lights.
