I've got six tiger barbs in a tank 4 feet long 18 inches tall and 1 foot wide.  I have a bunch of other misc. fish like danios but am going to put them in another tank.  Which would be better to add to the tiger tank, clown loachs or a red-tailed black shark.  My tigers are quite aggressive and have already driven many tetras to suicide via aquaclear filter.  Clowns and the shark are both omniferious but don't take into account algea eating ability as even with a full spectrum light I've been uncapable of building algae.

Check out www.fishprofiles.com or the profiles on this site.
The loaches and red tail sharks grow big and will out grow your tank depending on your tanks decor.

Ha, ha ha.  I gave the same advice to someone else who was looking for compatible species.  I may have been the one to unlighten the myfishtank world to fishprofiles.  I already have checked and neither of them are on the list.  I'm going on what others have said in the myfishtank messages in the tiger profile, that both are fairly well suited for tiger companions.

As well as I don't think fishprofiles is always so acurate.  It lists fish with long colorful fins that I've heard and am quite sure the TBs would tear apart.
