Hello,

I have two female mollies, I'm about 90% sure they are female, they have fanned anal fins (I think!). Anyway, the Dalmation is HUGE and keeps bullying everyone. She has always been on the large side and always seems to eat all the food! I'm not sure if she is pregnant because she has been massive for a very long time and she should have popped by now!
Any thoughts on improving her behaviour or is this just natural as there is only two of them?

I've just realised, I think all of my fish in my tank are female! *PEACE!* Apart from one of the shrimps and the fry are too young to sex. Maybe they need some sexy time to change the dynamics? ;) What does everyone think? x x x

Mollies grow to be very aggressive as they age. How old are your females? Sometimes, sex cannot be determined until 2 months of age. I have a ginormous male who I thought was a female for 3 months. He was a "late bloomer" despite the fact that he's 3.5 inches long and not very old. He bullies everyone around, even my serpae tetras.
Adding males to the tank would increase aggression with only 2 females. In my experience, no matter how large of a group I provide, one fish is always singled out and killed. Also, unless you want tons of babies, I wouldn't add any males. This is totally normal behavior. If you added one or two more females, you might be able to distract your current female. However, I wouldn't add any more fish. You're very overstocked with that pleco in there as it is.

:D In that case, you could possibly purchase another female and/or 3-4 cories. Mollies will hang out with cories. I'm not sure if adding cories will decrease aggression, but if adding another female fails, it's worth I try. You have sand in your tank, right? Cories need sand or fine, smooth gravel.

I don't think that she would actually explode ;) but overfeeding can cause lots of internal problems, as well as with water quality.
Could she be pregnant, perhaps? She could have already been pregnant when you got her - how long ago was that?

I love corys, one of my favorite fish. Please remember they do best in schools with at least 4-5 of the same species. Some will school with similar species, others won't. I returned my skunk (bought in newbie ignorance) because he didnt move about much except to eat and hide. He never really did school with the pandas.

BTW, sorry for the late post; was MIA for a few days with computer issues.

Hello!

I took Barry back...(sob) and replaced him with a bristlenose, who is tiny!

It's been about 3 months since we got her/him (the dalmation molly) and she hasn't popped if she was going to, so I'm thinking now it's a him!! So confusing!

I bought some lovely plants though, not sure the name but has a purple tint to them. I'll get a pic up soon!

Hope everyone is okay x x x x

Hello!

These are my new plants, not sure what they are but I like the purple edges! Someone seems to be eating them though or it has some disease?! The leaves are going a little brown and all that is left is the skeleton of the leaf?!
Hmm, I guess we'll have to see...................x x x
