Big Tank?

#1
On of our local Public Aquariums has asked me if I could possibly help with homing their stock (why me), so I am considering building my own tank for the bigger fish.
It will be of concrete construction with glass viewing panels.
Question is HOW BIG.
Stock is likely to be as follows.

Leporinus Fasciatus(Banded Leporinus) x 1
Hemidopsis Gracilis(Red Tailed Hemiodus) x 3
Platydoras Costatus(Humbug Catfish) x 4 Adults
Pseudoras Niger(Black Doradid) x 1
Sorubim Lima(Shovelnose Catfish) x 1
Leiarius marmoratus(False Peruno) x 2
Phractocephalus Hemioliopterus(Redtail Catfish) x 1

They do not have to be moved until the end of September.  ???

WOW your public aquarium is giving you fish!? Dude, that's cool. That way rocks.

Hmm...I'd go with the biggest thing, oh, say, like a nice swimming pool size.

I've also heard of people constructing DYI tanks out of plywood and the stuff they make bathtubs out of. That might be lighter than concrete to work with.

Well that really depends on how much money you have to build this and the room of course.  This isn't a small project you know and where are you going to place it?

Is your local aquarium hirering? I've got dive cert. I was ARC lifeguard for a year, I have my BS, I can yodal!

Oh yeah, that stuff is bathtub apoxy. Forgot, then my customer came in yesterday and I asked how the tank was going. He doesn't have it completed yet. Turned out to be a bigger project than he anticipated.

Black tip reef sharks...hmm...we could make some nice soup outta them.. JK!

Holly crap!  Hope you put it somewhere thats gonna hold all the weight or else your new tank you put on the second floor will be in your basement once you fill it up....hahaha.
The guy who has a LFS that I go to actully had that happen to a customer of his. This guy put  a 250g saltwater tank on the main floor of his house. A lot of the homes here in the downtown area are very old, but beautiful. He filled it up and when he got up in the morning, the tank was on a massive tilt to the side and was cracking through the floor and was about to burst.  He drained it and ended up haveing reinforce his floor to continue on with his project...He was quite lucky
