So..I used a packet of BioSpira on my new 6 gallon tank on Friday. Its Tuesday..about 4 days later and I'm still showing a tiny trace of ammonia in my tank. Nitrite level is at 0. Didnt test Nitrate yet.

For ppl who have used Biospira before..what is the typical time for it to cycle your tank completely? I know the packet on Biospira says it may take a few days for trace amts of ammonia and nitrite to disappear.

Just thought it would be done by now. ..

Hmmm well its almost been a week now and my new tank, which I added some Biospira to, is still showing tiny trace amounts of ammonia. Nitrite is zero. Nitrate is about 20 ppm.

I guess my tank isnt fully cycled yet? Its strange that my nitrite is zero while there's still some ammonia.

Does anyone know what it could be? Should I do a water change?

thanks

Overdose? I didnt think you could overdose on biospira! I have a 6 gallon with 6 neon tetras. and 3 shrimps. Its also planted. Not that big of a bioload really..

well i guess i should just wait..

is doing a w/c before the cycle completes a good idea?
