BioWheel Filter Size

i have a marineland biowheel filter 150. says it is for tanks up to 30 gal. the next one up is the 200 and says it is good up to 50 gal. should i have the bigger filter? is the one that i have enough? thanks for the help

i always over filter and suggest 2 filters on any set up 30 gal or more unless you have multaple tanks... i had 2 bio's go down on me in seperate tanks,both were 280's they were great about free replacements.

You can't use too much filtration on the water mechanically or biologically. So no worries with that. The only problems that can come up from using larger larger filters is the higher water flow in the tanks. This is normally an issue in smaller tanks, and with smaller/weaker fish. This is really on a case by case basis so just use your own discretion based on what you've got in your tank. Other than that, filter away!
