Hey Cory~

From what I've been able to find, black belts get to be around 11" or so....they are extremely aggressive and should be kept in no less than a 55g all by themselves. Any tankmates have to be large and aggressive too. (And of course, you would need a much larger tank!!) I couldn't find any info on sexing them or how long they can live.....
Sorry....

Black belts are a cool looking fish. Be very very careful with who you put them with. If they are going in with other fish make sure the other fish are at least 2-3 times the size. I had one about 7 inches tear two 10 inch oscar apart. If you are able to get the right combination or you have a really large tank, you will love this fish. They go good with big cats
