he sometimes "lays" on the bottom of the tank like hes sleeping.. or dying. i tap the tank and he "wakes up" and swims away. he has a nice hiding spot... a black PVC pipe he usally stays in there when lights are on. but, lately hes been out and about .. but doing this "laying on bottom of tank" type of deal. shrug. is he going to die? i got him from the same pet store that sold me the 2 mollies and 2 angels that died.. which, 1 molly and 1 angelfish is still living. shrug. advice pls. :)

It's hard to say for sure. Mine lies motionless sometimes, too, in and out of one his caves. How does his color and finnage look? Is he eating? If his color looks okay and he's eating, that's a good sign.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I think hes fine. I have a black ghost knife and he always is lieing on his side as if sleeping (the first time I saw him do this I wthought he was gone and went to get him and he popped right up). I think its just natural habits of ths black ghost.

I feed mine freeze dried blood worms and he seems to love them. I dont know how effective the sinking pellets would be.

A good sign that he is eating though is that you still have all the fish you put in their with him, well atleast still intact fully. If he wasnt eating youd see ripped fins and such. The ghost will eat smaller fish, and since the mollies are a little tooo big he owuld probably just nip their fins, but that hasnt happened right?
