Black Molly (Poecilia latipinna)

Hi,

I've just got a freshwater Molly and on her underneath there is, what I can only describe as a clear tube or white poo.

Does anyone know what this is?

The clear tube sounds like the gonopodium, which means it's a male. The 8th pic down on this site shows one on a guppy: How to keep and breed show guppies, poecilia reticulatus, with pictures

I wouldn't say Mollies are strictly freshwater myself. If you start seeing patches of fungus you'll need to add some salt as they are more brackish than anything.

Black Molly (Poecilia latipinna). Black mollies are really a hybrid of a bunch of different mollies. They are not Poecilia latipinna.
