Better information at www.applesnail.net Apple snails or mystery snails are great little pets, but you dont usually want to have two in a tank because they'll lay eggs and you'll have hundreds of little snails eating you out of house and home in a few weeks if they turn out to be male and female 
They are very interesting to watch, love to eat pretty much whatever you put in the tank...algae wafers, flake food, bloodworms etc They dont like really hot temperatures, they dont like salt and they like good water conditions just like your fish do (low nitrates, no ammonia, no nitrites)
