Black Tetra - disease??

I just bought several Black Tetras, which I have never kept before, so I'm not really familiar with them.

Two of them have some small white spots, not at all granular, on the trailing edge of the dorsal and caudal fins. Can this be normal coloration for a Black Tetra, or should I be trying to diagnose a disease?

At this point, I wouldn't do anything. Keep an eye on these spots and see if they get worse or not. In some ways this really doesn't sound like a disease to me, sounds more like healing after the fish have been sparring. And yes, tetras do fight among themselves to establish a loose pecking order, even though it is not as often or as violent as other species.
