I have 3 parrots in a healthy tank. of late one seems less to not be interested in food and has gone from a vibrant orange-yellow to a very pale yellow-orange.

he has no symptoms of being sick and still has the same energy as before.

any ideas what is wrong?

thanks

Hi Cichlid Man,

Thanks for the reply. I have answered as best i can

Of the 3 parrots 2 were exact same colour and the other a vibrant red orange. Of the smaller 2 the one has faded to a light yellow / pink. He has started eating but only when I put blood worm into the tank.

The other fish in the tank are 3 clown loaches, 3 flying foxes & 2 pairs albino convicts along with one plec and two gouramis.

The tank is very big not sure of the dimensions but it takes about 70l water.

I have loads of drift wood and have built up the tank in such a way as to create space but allow plenty of hiding spaces.

70L, from my calculations is just over 18gals? (Sorry i hate the metric system)

That is quite a small tank considering the fish stock. The Cons will get really aggressive, might be a cause for color loss in the Parrots, and 1 pair will prob. end up dominating that tank.

If i were you i'd look at the stocklist and maybe rethink stocking. What works when the fish are young may not when they are older, in this case, i'd say it won't. The cons will just kill everything come breeding time.
