I have a 55 gal tank almost done cycling, and 2 bood parrots (juvies) waiting to move in.Any suggestions what I might be able to put in (big or small) with them without going over the boi-load? THANKS FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS

Many people house blood parrots with some of the more peaceful central and south american cichlids. Something like flag cichlids could work, angelfish, bottom feeders such as brochis (I wouldn't do corydoras they're a bit small) or smaller synodontis, or maybe smaller plecos like bristlenoses. Of course, you could devote the tank entirely to blood parrots and get a few more. Just make sure you don't buy the horrible injected ones, "jellybeans" or whatever silly name is coined on them.

Keep in mind that these guys get VERY large and bulky as they grow older, they also can get aggressive. I have a very large one that is a couple years old and mean. I would suggest putting them in with fast fish that can get away from them. A school of danios or tetras would go nicely.
