Hi I have noticed today that my blue crayfish has a lot of yellow eggs under her tail she has only been with us bout 5 weeks and when we bought her she was in the tank on her own, I know they can store sperm and need a male but was wondering if anyone knows whether yellow eggs are infertilised x

Normally developing eggs are dark brown on crays I've kept, and those not fertilized were yellow or orange. In my experience, a crayfish will not lay eggs unless she did have sperm packets to use from prior contact with a male. But it is not uncommon for only some eggs to be viable.
