Anyone have a review of this MH bulb? It reads that its supposed to be good, but I can't find PAR outputs.

If no one has any info though I'm probably going to pick up the 150watt 14,000K tomorrow. MAYBE a 10,000K instead, haven't desided yet...

I'm really considering this bulb or hamilton. Not sure yet though.

Yeah, I was thinking of the Hamiltons too. Just talked to a guy today that I trust and he said they must have switched manufacturers or the manufacturers changed how they were making the lamps. He's been getting a nasty color shift after only 2ish months with the store use lamps reciently. Apparently Hamilton has no useful comments when he contacted them about it.

Too bad really...

So not the most scientific of observations but so far (one day) I'm happy with the new lamp. I ended up getting the 150 watt, 14,000K HQI. It's a little more blue than I would have liked but meh. I guess well see what happens after break-in. As of today my leather's are looking REALLY good, my clam is the most open I've ever seen it and my one mushroom is INCREDIBLY enlarged. All that said though, could just be a case of a new lamp... might have happend with ANY lamp. I really wish I had access to a Lux meter... Might have to do some asking around in my area.

I ended up going with 14k hamiltons. I just couldn't find any numbers on the bulbs so I didn't want to get them. Let me know how things turn out though...

Same to you eh. I'm interested to hear about the Hamiltons from someone not at a LFS. Like I said I trust the guy... but a second opinion is always good

I got my new MH bulbs installed last night. It looks awesome! If I see comparable growth i'll be sticking to 14k Hamiltons!

I have 1 10K Hamilton and 1 20K CoralVue on my tank now. The 20K makes the 10K look really yellow. I like the blue though I think I'm going to run 2 20K and replace my actinic VHOs with 10K Aquasuns.

why not go with the reeflux 12k's or evn 10k

Tre, the par levels on the reeflux bulbs were horrible.... I'm waiting to see what kind of growth I get from these bulbs.

Yeah I thought about the Reeflux 12ks the PAR on them was not good. So far I'm happy with the 20ks. Makes the tank colors pop a lot more without the harsh light of the 10k.
