Blue Lobsters

my sisters friend breeds blue lobsters, and she is giving some away, so would 1 or 2 of those would be ok in my 20gal tank? ok let me know asap! thanks!

Hi.

To be honest with you I dont think so. I would of course depend what else you have in the tank. I have heard they have a pretty heavy bio-load and they grow pretty big. They will also eat fish if they get there claws on one

Ok just saw this. No way should you get the lobesters. That tanks already way over stocked. commen plec will grow a foot or more and the cats will grow to at least 5 inches!

You need to get rid of these fish! Sorry but thats the truth.

not a good idea. if you are going to have a crayfish (lobsters are salt water)
it has to be the only bottom feeder in the tank. it will eat the other bottom feeder or it will get eaten because when they moult they are very soft and volnurable sp to any fish.

another reason why its not a good idea is because gouramis have those "feelers" and are easy to snatch by a crayfish. depending on the species some are very agressive. the one that i had CRUSHED 2 feeders i put in the tank with its claws. to show you what i mean by moulting ill show you a picture of mines when it moulted:
