Just a little story to share...
I fed my plecos zucchini for the first time yesterday; I dropped two pieces in the tank and waited. It took about 3 hours for my Blue Phantom to find one of them. Now keep in mind, he's no longer than 2 inches, if even that, so the width of the zucchini is about the same as his length.
Yesterday, the piece kept falling on top of him... then today, my larger plecs had already taken out some good chunks of it. So he was able to eat it, on his back. I looked over to my tank to see his little tan belly up sticking up with the piece of zucchini balanced on top of it, just sucking away If I could find my camera, I would take a picture I think the zucchini won, but I'm not sure.... I almost regret not feeding it to the plecs sooner. My little Bluey sure loves it! (Isn't his name creative? )
If any of you haven't fed your plecos zucchini yet, try it for hours of strange and random pleco fun
