BN Pleco

I have been looking for a BN pleco for some time. I bought a tiny one a couple days ago, and my Blood Parrot ate him. I bought a bigger one and moved my blood parrot to another tank. This guy has been in the tank for under 24 hrs and has already taken care of some white hair algae that was growing on my driftwood. This guys is the coolest, and now fits into my tank wonderfully. I would suggest getting one of these guys for a smaller tank in need of algae control.

I agree that they are awesome pleco's. They are my favorite Ancistrus species of all time. For the happiest pleco give some fresh vegetables and some driftwood and he will be happy.

They are a cool pleco, easy to keep and breed. Good to hear yours is doing well.

Great news!!! The nasty blood parrot didn't eat the first pleco!!! I found him, he was wedged between two pieces of slate flashing his tail. Now I have two of those lovely fish in my tank, hopefully different sexes. It would be great to breed them, but I"ll set my expectations low, as I am thankful my first one didn't get eaten.

Good that you found the first one They are an awesome addition to most tanks.

Did you get both plecos from the same batch at the store? If so, there's more liklihood they'll breed (assuming you have a male and female).
