Bob the Gourami........

About two months ago I added a gourami to my tank and fell in love with him. I want to bring in more gouramis of different colors and am wondering:
What is the ideal number of occupants for groupings?
and
If they are different colors does that mean they may have different characteristics?

Gouramis are very cool fish, but in my experience do not get along with eachother. Some have had sucses with keeping dwarf gouramis together, but I wouldnt recomend three spot gouramis together.

If you want to keep gouramis together, buy only females.

It's probably best if you want to keep more than one is to develop groups of 3, 1 male per 2 females. The diffrent colors doesn't mean they have diffrent temperments it's just colors that have been bred to be more dominant and such.
